Integrated Complex

The majority of the companies  in the Complex are connected through a piping network to Braskem´s raw material unit.  Braskem is the largest company of the Camaçari Industrial Complex and one of the five major private enterprises of the country. Its raw material unit                         receives feedstock from Petrobras, mainly naphtha,  to produce primary petrochemicals: ethylene, propylene, benzene, toluene, butadiene, p-xylene, solvents and other chemicals.

All of these products plus utilities such as electric power, steam and instrument air are supplied to Braskem´s production facilities and to the neighboring second generation industries, for manufacturing intermediate and some final petrochemicals.

A 400 kilometer ethylene pipeline connects Braskem´s raw material facility in Camaçari, to its two other chlorine-soda and PVC units in the State of Alagoas. this connects  Camaçari Industrial Complex to the Chlorine-chemical Complex in Alagoas. Structured to operate integrated with other industries, the Camaçari Industrial Complex has the speciallized support of industrial maintenance, and with the environmental protection company, CETREL.
